Hi

Nice start guys.

Interesting thoughts Matt - put the measures in place.
Here's a photo from this weekend just gone in Haute Savoie: a bit of evening alpenglow on the Dru (west face climbed by Smith Senior ca. 1994) and Aiguille Vert. The Chamonix valley is one of quite a number of nice places.

Dru Twighlight

I'll try and think of something a bit more interesting to say next time.

It looks like you can visibly see the section of the Dru that fell off last year. Is this the case or just my imagination?

No you're right, you can see it... it's the lighter grey area in the right half of the west face. This has happened elsewhere in the Chamonix Valley and is the result of global warming, by the way :-(

There were two big falls actually and Dr Chin analysed both of them.
The falls eliminated some of the most famous routes on the mighty dru
No new projects were made on the Dru until two weeks ago - when i was lucky enough to be there. No news of their outcome....
